JAHANZEB is exactly right!! Musically, a Film with Rajiv would be a much much larger Masterpiece... But ARR should use this situation to strengthen his position there...
He did a similar thing when he moved to Bollywood back in the late 90's. He opted out of a MegaProject in Malayalam starring Mohanlal, Tabu, Nedumudi, Amrish Puri, Prabhu, Anu Kapoor, Poojapura Thamban etc (The films was DUBBED into Tamil as 'Sirai Chalai', Telugu as Kalapani and Hindi as "Saza E Kalapani" ), and to accept a very lowbudget and less glamorous Bollywood film, "Kabhi na Kabhi" (Both the films, Kalapani and Kabhi na Kabhi had the SAME DIRECTOR, PRIYADARSHAN). This was when he had just CONQUERED Northern Hearts with the Multi-Genre Soundtrack, RANGEELA. He is now encountering the same situation. Now, he has to sacrifice a Bollywood Musical for an average Hollywood flick. It is a MUST!!
