Actually I feel quite odd when one recognition gets linked with other recognition. This doctorate got awarded to him right when he achieved oscar, so if he had not got oscar this doctorate would not have come to him even though he would have been the same great person doing great service to music and entertainment industry. They should not link such recognitions.
