listening to the last five hindi albums of A R RAHMAN which are delhi 6,
ghajini, yuvraaj, ada, jtjn, jodha akbar i came to a point that something has
gone wrong . the commercial aspect has badly influenced A R RAHMANS music.
these movies contain below average rejected songs which are no where near to A
R RAHMAN STANDARD.
I am missing that RAHMAN who used to create wonders in music. just
listen to his first album ROJA A SCINTILLATING ALBUM, THIRUDA THIRUDA his most
diverse album till date, GENTLEMAN, HINDUSTANI MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE A R RAHMAN
album , RANGEELA, DIL SE , ALAIPAYUTHE, I HAVE ONLY NAMED A FEW THESE ALBUMS
CONTAIN mind blowing songs. those never listen by anyone before . the music
standard of these bockbuster hits was miraculous .The strange complicated sweet
raag based tunes , the heavenly instrumentation, breathtaking interludes , the
AR RAHMAN sound , the scintillating rhythm all these albums had these qualities
but today all is missing.
i think that A R RAHMAN SHOULD STOP doing commercial movies,these are
hurting fans like me who wait for an a r rahman album day in and day out , and
then what one gets is below average music. i hope that A R RAHMAN in future
will come up with songs which can compete with his gems like telephone dhun,
dil se re, thee thee ,tanha tanha .for me A R RAHMAN is the king of music i am
sure he will again become the glorious RAHMAN which he used to be.
