Listen to this - Mrityumjaya by Agni (It is an Indian Heavy Metal Rock Band.. i guess one of the pioneers of Rock in India) Their tracks are quiet melodious as well. Especially loved the guitar solos in "Blues for Radha", "Mrityumjaya" and "Agni"
