Just listened both these soundtracks and the difference is amazingly striking.  
Now, if you didn't know Rahman's music and someone asked you if you thought the 
music of Passage and the music of Blue were by the same composer, would you say 
"yes"?  I don't think so.  Most people would not.  In fact,  if I were a 
stranger to Rahman and his music, I wouldn't believe it if someone told me they 
are by the same composer.  It's truly unprecedented I think in the history of 
music worldwide the amount of versatility and range that Rahman is capable.  

There have been some great composers in this world, but I say none as versatile 
and with the range that AR has demonstrated in his career.

AR Rahman is THE MOST versatile music composer this world has ever seen.  Is 
that statement too far fetched?  No, to me, it's the truth!
