3 classics from ARR's last 10 releases? Wow! That's tough to choose...but if I have to make a choice then it would be Jashn-e-bahara from Jodha Akhbar, Masakali from Delhi6 and Mausam & Escape from SDM. There were many others in fact, but for some very special resons, these 3 tracks have been quite close to my heart:)
But speaking of classics, my all-time favorite track would definitely be Chinna Chinna Aasai from Roja. That particular song changed my whole perception of the Indian film music. I don't mean to undermine any MDs, but truthfully, til' Chinna Chinna Aasai happened, I never really had much interest in Indian music, regardless of whether it's Tamil, Hindi, Telugu etc. To me, the songs are there to complement the movie, nothing more. But Chinna Chinna Aasai changed all that. The whole song has a freshness in it! The tune was heavenly, the voice was mesmerising, the outcome was totally out-of-the-world! And I certainly don't think any heroine would have got a better introduction song than that. It's almost as if ARR had envisioned the whole song even before it was picturised. Perfect is just too lame a word to describe this song. --- On Wed, 10/7/09, aneesh ani <[email protected]> wrote: From: aneesh ani <[email protected]> Subject: [arr] 3 classics of our boss frm the last 10 releases.my thought To: [email protected] Date: Wednesday, October 7, 2009, 12:11 PM First of all for me every rahman sirs songs are special, here are best 3 classics of our boss frm the last 10 audio releases.1) mann chandrenu - connections 2 ) silent invocation - connections. 3) man mohana - jodha akbar.
