by the way. Today's Times of India in hyd does carry a short interview of
rahman where he talks about failed mike and failure of sound. May be he did get
the feedback about the chennai concert, who knows!!

                  Arun,

Perhaps its his way of telling everyone to embrace other languages, cultures,
worlds etc. I do not see anything wrong with ARR's approach.

Subject: [arr] JAI HO concert- disappointment

                  Hi to all,

Me being one of the big fan of rahmanji, was blessed to witness the jaiho
concert live among 70,000 people who filled the space from various quarters
especially from different parts of tamilnadu, chennai. The program went well
but not without minuses and am one of the disappointed fan. The reason being
too much inclusion of hindi songs that too some infamous hindi numbers
comprised the major part of the concert done by our very own tamilian, arrahman
sir. i understand the hindi songs from dilse, rangde basanti but y jodha akbar
tracks needed in chennai. There are so many thumping tracks in tamil done by
arr which would
have lifted the spirits of the people majority being tamilians. Is it not
aware to rahman sir? was he being pressurized to sing only hindi songs? Dont he
know the pulse of people in chennai and the concert happening
in chennai. It was as if like the concert happened in mumbai or delhi and for
a second i doubted is it our rahman who said, "ella pugazhum iraivanuke" in
tamil while receiving the famous oscar award. Really it is disappointing to
say the least that if not the tracks like , mustafa mustafa and the final
jaiho-vande mataram, the show would have been utter disappointment to
tamilians.
Rahman sir should definitely need to consider this when he does a concert
again in chennai. It's my humble request and this is my personal opinion about
the show. Im sure most of the people who attended would understand what i mean
and will agree to this disappointment. Will rahman sir perform tamil songs in a
delhi or mumbai concert???

regards
arun
