IF ARR was weak in understanding a subject, how is he creating such wonderful tracks for these duds?
Let me try to tell something. Music for a movie is done before the movie shooting is even started. And unlike anyone who asks for the final script to finalize his association with the project, I think ARR won't do all these, as he has many things to do rather than just investing too much time on only one film. So when he sees something interesting in the thread of the film, he does it. When it is about an underwater subject, he just agreed to do it. He, as a person has that liberty to do it; or that's what I think of it. Then these directors, script writers etc. just start with a half or not even written script and make mess of everything. Some directors even can't understand the magnitude of the music that ARR gives them. So that's it. And after all, ARR makes music for himself, Mani Ratnam makes movies for himself; that's why they create extraordinary stuff!! If they do something for the masses or others, those will surely be flops and duds. These are just personal opinions, as a movie result doesn't affect me from enjoying ARR's music. Happy Diwali! Enjoy ARR's music! --- In [email protected], Anil Nair <rhythmca...@...> wrote: > > Well actually ...I think this is a good subject .... or lets say an offshoot > of this would be a more interesting one.
