Does that go to say that "its tough so lets do average work". We can take this argument if other artists of similar calibre are doing average concerts. No, thats not the case. Yes, its tough to find a great sound engineer who also understands the intricacies of Rahman's music, but NOT impossible. Boss, Its ALLAH RAKHA RAHMAN. Nothing short of best would fit him. I would be utterly displeased if some random guy comes up with a article "Two time Grammy winner A R Rahman's concert turned out be an average experience. He needs to work on the quality of sound. Composing in a studio and performing to a live audience are 2 different games."
The blame shifts blatantly on ARR for no fault of his. Sincerely, even one concert in a year or 2 year which is indeed good to be released on DVD would suffice and a CD compilation of concert versions of the songs. IMHO Rahman doesn't have to burn out himself with so many concerts like the western artistes. Or atleast not yet. His rate of producing music is many times that of a western artiste. Those artistes come out with 1 or 2 albums in a year and they have to do these concerts to promote them. Rahman should decide on his strategy. He is in a position where no artist has ever been before - catering to a (almost) truly global audience each of different culture and sophistication.
