It was only after the success of Roja that I toyed with the idea of releasing films in Hindi,” said filmmaker Mani Ratnam. Speaking at the sidelines of National Film Development Corporation' s (NFDC) Film Bazaar at International Film Festival in Panaji, Mani Ratnam said, “The success of Roja and Bombay took me from one to another.” Even after two-and-a-half decades of writing and directing films, I still struggle on climax, he candidly admitted.
