Rahman plays the blues December 9, 2009 The latest from the camp of our Mozart of Madras, AR Rahman is that he is composing music for a documentary of Tamil Nadu Police.
Tamil Nadu police officials have made a special documentary as a tribute to the police department that has completed 150 dutiful years. This documentary will be featuring every development and building blocks of the department. The film will have the old style uniforms that the police wore during their early days to the recent technological growth and advanced equipment they have. <http://adserver.adtech.de/?adlink|585|1100573|0|165|AdId=1242685;BnId=5;itime=358588727;key=key1+key2+key3+key4;> Sources say the police department had requested Rahman to score music for their documentary even before the musician won the Academy Award and Golden Globe award. But unfortunately, as Rahman became too busy, he was not able to compose for the whole film. Anyway, the music genius is composing one song that sings the praise of the State's Police. Rahman, who is in London, will work on this when he returns. Moreover, the documentary will be released by the State's CM M Karunanidhi. http://tonight.co.za/index.php?fArticleId=5280077&fSectionId=431&fSetId=251 -- regards, Vithur
