I didn't quite get how you plan to threaten AR's privacy but the rest of the logic does not hold - not being able to afford/access a commercial product does not bestow the license to steal. But that's quite beside the point. It's not like any of us don't download the music anyway - it's just a business decision that the producers are making - the cost of producing and distributing a CD > revenues from selling them The pirated mp3s will get downloaded regardless, just that in this scenario, the producers lose less money. All of a. quality of digital music b. worldwide accessibility to digital distribution mediums like Amazon and c. the diversity of such options will only improve with time for those, like you, that have the noble intent of putting your hard earned money behind the creative work. The interim will dissatisfy many but you just have to live with it - after all this is the music 'business', that's the operative word.
