Heard Blue again after a while and I still continue to enjoy that album immensely, despite all the sound stuff we talked about before. Songs like Rehuma, Fiqrana, Aaj Dil, Bhoola Tujhe.....well crafted, very likeable, lots of energy and passion with tremendous choice of soundscapes (different from sound quality issues). The fact that I enjoy Blue so much 3-4 months removed from the novelty bias that comes with each ARR album speaks a lot about the strengths of this album for me. I need to check out Telugu Blue too.
About VTV, after hearing the entire song of Hosana on youtube (even if it's just a draft), my expectations have been raised further.....beautiful, ambient sounds, soothing tones, heavenly female chorus....nice, crisp, clean sounds....grand arrangements, catchy melodic hooks. If the rest of the album is anything like this song, this album is going to go places mark my words.....much, much beyond regional impact. Watch out for the Shreya/Rahman number....I predict that will be the favorite among many down the line. One more week until VTV.......it's going to ROCK!!!!!!
