Happy Birthday Rahman!

Today (January 6), the maestro AR Rahman, celebrates his 44th birthday.
We at sify.com along with millions of his fans around the globe wish him a Happy
Birthday. Rahman is today a world icon after winning the Oscars last
year.
He may not have a single album in Tamil last year. But this year Rahman is
going to rock with atleast three Tamil albums.
The first of the albums would be Gautham Menon�s Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya,
followed a few weeks later by Mani Ratnam�s Raavan and towards the end of the
year Shankar�s Endhiran.
Then there will also be SJ Surya�s Puli in Telugu and Hindi version of Sivaji
music.
Divulging the marketing plans for Rahman�s first release of the year
likely on January 10, Sony Music Southern Repertoire head Ashok Parwani
says: "We intend to make VTV a crossover album as we believe A R Rahman
as a brand and this music has the power to transcend language and
regional barriers. We will service the song videos to all leading music
channels � Tamil and National as AR Rahman has a universal reach�.
