At last there is good news for Tamil music lovers. Post *Sakkarakatti,*there hasn’t been any Tamil releases from A R Rahman as he got occupied with more Hollywood and Bollywood projects.
A R Rahman <http://www.planetradiocity.com/rahman/rahman.html> has scored music in *Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya* whose music album will be available in the market stores from 12 January, 2010. Although the film’s audio was launched in London, however, the filmmaker Gowtham Menon had planned to host a special audio launch for cennaites on January 12. But now we hear that the songs of *Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya *would be directly hitting audio stores on the occasion of Pongal. Thamarai has penned lyrics for all the seven tracks while Kaithapram and Kalyani Menon have taken care of Malayalam lines in ‘Omana Penne’ and ‘Aaoromale’. A R Rahman himself has crooned the song ‘Mannipaaya’ (which means– will you forgive me?) along with Shreya Ghosal. http://www.planetradiocity.com/musicreporter/news.php?newscatid=1&newsid=1853 -- regards, Vithur
