If this recent concert is anything to go by, then jazz seems to be making
inroads into the city. Stylish keyboard player Ghalib treated the

music-lovers of Chennai to quite a soulful night replete with jazz, blues
and a little bit of pop.
Apart from mesmerising everybody with his skills on the keyboard, he also
wowed the crowd with his stellar voice. Talking about his India experience,
the multi-faceted artiste said, “I’m a big fan of ethnic instruments and I
know that India is home to several beautiful instruments.” The artiste also
went on to say that he loved listening to Indian music, *AR Rahman being his
current favourite. *
