does that make it fresh? We have been hearing bhangra mixed with
virtually everything since eternity.

is hip hop some music type or what?

To me the song sounded so much simple (almost barren) that i couldn't
feel it could be in any genre, and if anything by ARR had "freshness",
that was in Yaar Mila tha. Even D6 and Ravan don't have this freshness
that was in this song.

Yaar Mila tha was like listening to Shailendra Singh in Bobby after
listening to Mukesh and Manna Dey and Mahendra Kapoor in Mera Naam
Joker, two back to back RK films.

when it is "like" something, then by definition it can't be fresh.

:-D)

hmm, when a musically learned person couldn't find any previously
existing term to describe it, i give in, that, by definition, it has
to be something new and fresh.

of course, blue was not dud by any logic. It has such a new type of
sounds never heard before from ARR also.

It was all glitter and no content. without soul, without underlying
unity in the diversity of songs.

oh, blue set me rolling again. sorry folks.
