Yes, I also have similar experience.

When I had met him, I drew my borrowed digital cam and said shyly 
smilingly may I get your just one pic. He nodded and stood up and said 
come.

I said that I want only his pic, I don't want to be in the pic myself.

he said, no way, you also come, or something like that, and there was 
a man in the room (his secretary or someone I didn't know) and ARR 
requested that guy to shoot the pic and that guy shot the pic having 
ARR and myself.

I mean ARR knows how much a pic with him will mean for his fan for a 
lifetime so he would never disappoint any fan by refusing a pic. May 
be at times something is on his mind so he might have said no, in a 
rush to attend some work or something, but I am sure that such 
incidences must be very very rare and based on circumstances.
