Do you often listen to some international artistes like Bryan Adams, James
Blunt, Bob Marley or BB King ?  If so, you perhaps would have noticed that a
lot of songs are actually similar to their previous tracks. Even if some
tunes are used from one of their previous songs, it is not taking the
originality away.

using a bit of old tunes for a new album is perfectly alright if it is done
right, and with AR, it is always done right.  I don't really see that
reducing the quality or originality of the song.

Listen to some all time reggae hits or some BB king's tracks (blues) and you
will be amazed how most of  of them sound similar.

It's just my take on originality and I can see that yours differ from mine.
But still, just saying. :)
