Rahman, Oscar winning composer for "Slumdog Millionaire" kicks off his world tour the "A.R. Rahman Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home†on June 11 at the Nassau Coliseum in New York and will span 16 major cities worldwide. For the trek, Rahman is collaborating with Musical Director John Beasley who directed tours with Queen Latifah and Steely Dan and has also played with Miles Davis and Chaka Khan, along with arranging for American Idol. Amy Tinkman will be the Creative Director. She has worked to create concerts for Britney Spears and Mariah Carey. The tour will not only feature Rahman's music, but also dance arrangements and acrobatics inspired by his native India.
