Vimal, if you went by that argument, then Thiruda Thiruda can also be listed on
there because it hardly made a bang on the commercial arena . Topics such as
this are extremely subjective. I won't expect to agree with everyone but only
interested to see how the list varies from person to person. Kannathil for me
is
not underrated. It did well both commercially and critically.

Some soundtracks I felt were underrated:
1)Vandicholi chinnarasu (barring some really sub standard tracks, sithirai
nilavu, senthamizh naatu, edhu sugam were brilliant tracks. perhaps the only
song
that was famous at the time was santhamizh naatu but the other two aren't any
less!)
2)Kizhakku Cheemiayile- fantastic soundtrack.
3)Pavithra
4)Yuva - although people keep referring to it fondly, in 2004 this was a miss
commercially.
5)And of course one of my fav AR-Mani soundtracks , Iruvar.

Subject: [arr] Re: Most Underrated ARR Albums

I knew someone would bring that up!...Let me explain....Kannathil is rarely
listed among ARR's best...or even his best with Mani....even though it really
should be...I didn't use awards as the sole barometer of acclaim...as many
random factors go into the selection of awards....also....I don't think the
album was a big commercial success ....all in all...Kannathil deserved more
fame
and adulation
