This is funny. After reading about the Matt Dunkley info that was mentioned in this group I posted it on Filmscoremonthly and credited the group. And now I see the exact sentence I used being posted back here ("In reply to a question... "). :)
Anyways while this is good news for ARR fans, one does feel a bit sorry for John Murphy who used to be Boyle's previous composer of choice. Just listen to his scores for 28 days later, Millions and Sunshine, and you'll come across a unique talent. I thought that the 127 hours project was a slam dunk for Murphy. BTW I hope no one is expecting songs in the movie. It a serious film almost like a documentary. Don't expect songs and be disappointed later. ________________________________ From: Farzad Khaleel <farsad...@gmail.com> To: arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com Sent: Sun, August 22, 2010 7:33:16 AM Subject: Re: [arr] AR Rahman scores for 127 hours!!!! In reply to a question about the music Matt responds in Facebook- "It's beautiful as always - with electric guitars mixed in with orchestral strings and samples. No songs as far as I know - it's more subtle under-score fitting the subject matter of the movie, which deals with one man's triumph over adversity and the power of the human spirit" Matt
