Sorry! My previous email went premature... After reading Gopal's suggestion, I gave a thought of what kind of information is needed to make a detailed database. I have put together all the fields that came through my mind considering the details of the Songs, the entire album credits, and the awards received by AR or by any other artist for an AR album. Please find the attached excel that contains three sheets. This is just a scratch and please suggest to add more fields / modify existing fields. It would be ideal to have various information related to a song / album in different sheets keeping a primary field in all sheets, like song name, instead of trying to fill multiple information in the same sheet which may not be possible.
Regarding collection of the basic data of songs and artist information, if one has songs ripped from original cd into iTunes playlist, it is easy to obtain the track details from Gracenote (for many if not all) and export the playlist into a text file which can further be edited in an excel file. However, this is a later step. Please feel free to suggest your thoughts.
