Hi Listers, I am facing with a problem in importing definition
files in ARS 6.3, My system configuration is; 1. Windows 2000 Server SP4 2. MS SQL 2000 SP 2 (on a remote system) 3. ARS 6.3 Patch 14 The
issue is that I have some custom made forms with workflow. Now in the active
links that I use Open Window action, to open other custom forms the server name
remains the same, after importing to a new system. I have checked the option in
Export window to export def “Export as Server-Independent “. But even
after this when I import the def and try to open the window it doesn’t work
and when I try to open the Active link with the Open window action, it shows on
the lower left screen “Connecting to <server_name>”, where
server_name is the name of my old server from which I exported the defs. Now
after some seconds I am shown the Action and if I select the new server and
save the active link it starts to work. And sometimes the workflow loses the
mappings. I am not sure why this is happening. I also tried restoring the
database backup and run the same workflow but then also its throws some errors.
Like “RPC bind failure”. I would like to know if any one has faced
this problem and if there is a solution kindly update me on the same. If any
more info is required kindly ask me. Thanks
