Seems a little early to me - aren't we still 4 months from BUG? Lots of
us haven't had an ample chance to annoy you yet.

Subject: ARSList Awards 2006

It's that time of year again.

I am now requesting suggestions for categories.

[I am deliberately not going into a lengthy explanation of this for
newcomers until I write up an official explanation mentione later in
this post]

The standard ones are:

MVP - Most Valuable Poster

Best 3rd Party ARSystem related Freeware Utility

Best 3rd Party ARSystem Utility (commercial)

Best 3rd Party ARSystem related Product [e.g. a wireless integration
system]

Best 3rd Party Application Suite (commercial)

BMCSoftware Remedy Employee Beyond the Call of Duty Award

Various humourous ones based on the events of the year on the list

Feel free to suggest other real or humourous awards.

Due to some issues over the past couple of years, before actually
opening up for nominations I will be posting both to the list and to
WWWRUG.ORG a set of more formalized rules.

Currently there is no session scheduled at BMCUserWorld 2006 for the
ARSList Awards. I have requested one, and if I hear nothing by June 1st
I will discuss alternatives (e.g. on the Tuesday 4:30-5:30 between the
tutorials and the opening bash so the winners can enjoy their win all
week in person).

.... Daniel
p.s. and there may be a Wake Up and Smell the Coffee Award to the same
person for a second year running, a rare event indeed :-)
