Subject: How to open Browse window from a button
I need to create an active link executed by a button that will open a browse window pointing to a specific path. The variable is the last folder in the path and it is the contents of the field "PeregrineTicketNumber." The big picture is that I am bringing a huge number of Peregrine legacy tickets into Remedy. All new tickets will use standard Remedy workflow but users will need the ability to view files that were formerly legacy Peregrine attachments.
I am trying to do this using OLE. Could one of you OLE gurus out there please help me get this working? Or if there is a better way to do this I'm open to suggestions.
ARS 6.0.3 P012
Oracle 9.2
AIX 6.1
The destination folders are on an NT box. Here's what
I've tried:
OLE Automation (action)
OLE Local Servers
InternetExplorer(V1.0)
Type Library Information:
Isearches Object
Methods: Isearch* Item( [VARIANT Index] )
Methods/Items/Parameters/
phxd01\Sys3\Remedy Admin
Method Returns:
Return Value -> Idispatch* *
$PeregrineTicketNumber$
The error I get is "Error fetching the requested interface object. No such interface supported."
