Hi Susan,

We use a product called Crystal Command for doing this. It is basically a program for running crystal reports from the command line and then exporting and/or emailing the results. I believe there are other similar alternatives. Go to http://www.crystaldesk.com/CrystalCommand.htm for more info.

It was relatively easy to build some workflow to wrap around the program and I have actually received emails within a second or two of clicking the button to run the report. In your case since you have a Windows server all you need to do is install crystal command on your server. Place the report file within reach of crystal command and then create an escalation to invoke the program passing parameters for the report name, email address etc.

Good luck,

Rod Harris

Subject: Automated Crystal Report on Win2003 Server

**

Hi everyone,

We have a need to automatically run a Crystal report at 4:00 am everyday and have it sent via email to someone in England (from U.S.).  We do NOT have Crystal Server.  Luckily there will not be any parameters that need to be supplied to the report.

Is there a way to have the server's job scheduler do this?    Anyone doing this?

Thanks for your help,

Susan
