Chris, As long as BMC has kept the LONG standing Remedy tradition of not breaking older clients then I would expect the existing ARS Perl to work with a v7 server. (To the extent that it would work with a v6.3 server.)
To my knowledge, the "ARSPerl people" have never released an ARSPerl version at (or near) the initial release of software from Remedy. (Suggesting to me that they have never been involved in a "Early Access Program".) In fact I think the timing is normally 6 months to a year behind for any real feature shift in ARSPerl. However, as I understand it, ARSPerl is now on Sourceforge. (http://sourceforge.net/projects/arsperl/ Last version was 1.85 release September 19, 2005) So if you have some access to ARS v7, then you could start working on any improvements/testing too. -- Carey Matthew Black Remedy Skilled Professional (RSP) ARS = Action Request System(Remedy) Solution = People + Process + Tools Fast, Accurate, Cheap.... Greetings listers, A bit premature, I know, but am interested to find out if the ARSPerl people have been involved in the ARSystem 7.0 Early Access Program, and if there is likely to be a new version of ARSPerl coming out for it? If the current version is compatible with the new 7.0 product, that would be great to know too. Cheers Chris.
