Here is the plan for moving our web servers in production: 1. Leave the existing 6.0 w/ iplanet running. 2. Install SunOne 6.1 w/ mid-tier 6.3 and configure it to run on a different port (8000). 3. Shut down iplanet. 4. Change the port number on SunOne to run on 443 and restart the web server.
I have tried this in our test box and when I change the port# mid-tier doesn't work. It will take you to the login page but then will give you a "Page cannot be displayed" when you attempt to login. When I change the port # back to its original port it works. I looked in the mid-tier directory and could not find anywhere where the port number was stored. Any ideas on why it doesn't work when I change the port number? Has anyone tried this?
