Yup - checking workflow references before deleting fields is a must.

What are you guys using for a cross-reference resource? We ran MARS, which
was turned into RDP, which couldn't be trusted, among other weaknesses. By
the way, is RDP ready for prime time yet?

T,

I would hope that this condition is not a performance issue. If it is
then think about what shared workflow must be like for performance.
Every Active Link running on multiple forms is likely to stumble on to
this condition. (Unless all of your forms have the same set of fields
that are only used by your shared workflow.)

If you check the client Active Link logs You will actually see that
the "field" is set but there is a note that it does not exist on the
current form. Then the processing just keeps going. So I doubt it is a
real problem.

However, James comment about reusing fieldID's are also excellent
points on the topic.
