** Create the parameter in Crystal. Go to the Section Expert for the Detail section and create a formula to use for Suppressing a row. Use the parameter in the formula. Save the report and link into your ALink (or add to Report form). Run the report from the user tool and you should see a Crystal prompt.

Now, this will filter down based on your parameter but the entire record set will be read into memory.

This depends, do you want to run the report from an active link or
from the ITSM Report Console?

As you might know, if you want to run a Crystal Report from Remedy it
will override the already existing query in Cristal. You can pass the
selection criteria in the Query Override in the Open Window active
link or if you want to run the report from the Report Console, store
the qualification in the Report form.
