Has anyone sucessfully installed a vanilla implementation of ARS 7 on the following platform:
Oracle 9i release 2 using Oracle 10gR2 database client to connect During the install process, we are getting the error "The compatability variable in ORACLE_HOME/dbs/initxxx.ora is set incorrectly for this version of Oracle" We've manually updated the file by correcting the variable and restarting the Oracle db, but that doesn't solve the error. Anyone run into this or have any ideas? I am now thinking of upgrading the database, but was hoping my configuration would work.
