Now hold your horses here people.. the statement "Ivan posted a link"
is entirely false. I posted a comment on the 'humor', nothing more. I
happen to agree with the comment that the link was inappropriate for
this list. I did not, nor would not post this in the first place.

Ivan posted a link. Nobody FORCED anybody here to click on it. Once someone
decided to click the link that person became responsibile for everything
associated with that link. In the future, I would suggest that restraint,
not curiosity, determine one's course of action.
By the way, one person's humor is another person's vulgarity. Just because
one does not agree with Ivan's sense of humor doesn't mean he should
apologize. If he had tried to mislead anyone in any way, I would say you
have a point. The post was marked correctly. Those who clicked the link
made a choice. Just because you think it was a poor choice (because you
didn't like the content) doesn't mean it's Ivan's fault.

We are constantly bombarded with messages about being more tolerant and not
predjudicial. We are supposed to be politically correct in what we voice,
and hopefully far more compassionate than that in what we think and do. The
video in itself was in poor taste but the website it was displayed on had
other display items that were inappropriate and that's probably where the
'block' outs were originating from.
Many people on this list are employees, not contractors, and therefore are
on company equipment on company network and in some cases, maybe more than
we care to think, being viewed by the company. Just because we use another
email address in an effort to ease the burden of the company email server,
doesn't mean we can do whatever we want. We are all being paid to work, and
sometimes that does include taking a few moments for harmless humor on
Fridays.
Before you post humor you might want to run it through a simple test ... is
this something I'd like my grandma to read ... or my 12 year son or daughter
... would they be proud. I know that not all Friday humor has qualified and
I've enjoyed most of it and had a few laughs ...and wouldn't show it to
grandma or kids. But if someone says they're offended, then you should be
apologizing before anyone ASKS you to do it.
So I guess this would qualify as Tuesday editorializing or sermonizing.
Are we going to need a Friday humor session at RUG?
