Maybe Dan is trying to "keep the camel's nose" out of the tent; "closing the barn door" before the horse gets out; keeping that [EMAIL PROTECTED]& cat in the bag. OK that last one was a stretch.
Remember we are a community and must consider what we post and it's affects on that community. Strange email subjects and addresses can get the list blocked by over zealous spam blockers. It happened to me when our email servers where tightened to reduce spam. A few messages got blocked and kicked of a total blocking of anything from the List which in turn got me booted and I had to re-subscribe. <old fuddy duddy mode> There's no need for aliases unless you need anonymity.
