You could do it yourself.. all you need to do is login into the support website and under the license management link choose purge..

This however allows you to purge one license per day or it would generate duplicate license keys for the rest (that is what I remember that happened to me). Its something to do with the algorithm the license generator uses to recreate licenses. To avoid this you would have to purge each license of the same type (Fixed / Floating) on a different day.. This is why Remedy support has perhaps requested you the license file so they could do it themselves and give you all the valid keys within a single day..

James:
    Thanks for your assistance.
When you said  "you can purge off the old license" I dont capture the idea. You mean I can do it by myself without contacting my support?

    -    I have a contract support. I contact with them and they told me to send a copy of the file remedy.lic and they will purge the license but if I prefer to do this by my own if I have the capacity.

  thank u very much

You did not state if you have support or not.  If you do, you can purge off the old license and reuse it for the new server AFTER you install ARS 6.1/6.3/7.0 and use the license portion of the Admin Tool to get the Host ID.  This is something that I am quite familar with. I don't know if Remedy will help you with the migration of an ARS 5.1.2 server or not.

Iam not upgrading the application.
Iam only migrating the application to another server. So the problem may be that the license is associated with the old mac addrress...

thanks

If you are simply upgrading your server to v6 (or above) simply go to SupportWeb and choose License File Upgrade.  Attach your existing license file and send it. You will receive an email with a file that has both your existing v5 keys and the new v6 keys in it.  Put that file in place of your existing license file and you are done with the licenses.  The new file will work with your existing v5 server and when you run the v6 upgrade install the server will recognize the v6 keys.
