Kelvin,

I understand that the field has to have value, but I want to know how to make the same field optional on some criterias and requiered on other criterias.  I am beginner and get confused so easy...

You need to be aware that every time someone modifies that ticket, they will need to have a value in that field.  With workflow, you can have other scenarios…
