Fred, My definition of "general release" is simply this: When they put a file out there that we can generally access then it is released.
An "official announcement" might be done after that point, but all testing should be concluded long before I can get my fast clicking, patch hungry, little hands on the first file. :) And frankly I am surprised that they do not upload the files into a directory that is not readable by most users during "alpha/beta/gamma" testing. Then when they are ready to release it, flip the permissions on the final form of the directory to "all users". I don't believe they have announced p2 yet so it may be a case of they are just putting the files out there. I would expect BMC to put the files out, do an internal test (or several), then announce the patch is available. Fred
