In your ar.conf file on the server do you have the
Oracle-Two-Task line defined correctly?
On our Sun servers we define in the environment the
following variables for Oracle:
ORACLE_HOME=/apps/oracle/product/9.2.0
ORACLE_SID=ARS ORACLE_TERM=xterm TNS_ADMIN=/apps/oracle/product/9.2.0/network/admin TWO_TASK=ARS_DEV Fred From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Christopher Crowder Sent: Wednesday, September 27, 2006 9:31 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Error with install but server starts All,
We have a new unlicensed server we are bringing up for testing (migration from
6.0.1 patch 1406 to 6.3). Problem is after system start up we get an error
concerning Oracle but the system itself comes up functional. Oracle
9.2.0.5 and SUN OS 5.9 Error:
390600 : Failure during SQL operation to the database (ARERR
552)
ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name
We have verified the SID, TWO-TASK, and tnsnames.ora file are correct.
Tnsping also works without error and have requested a server license in the
meantime.
