TITLE: Remedy Administrator
GENERAL SUMMARY: The goal of this position is to enhance and develop Remedy
Help Desk, Change Management and Asset Management forms and modules, support
Remedy users and recommend strategies for operational improvements.  This
position is also required to track and gather information and present it to
senior management in an acceptable report format.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Remedy Application Development and Administration
• Designs, develops, modifies, debugs and evaluates Remedy forms and modules
for functional areas.
• Analyzes existing forms, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting,
and tests/debugs programs.
• Develops conversion and system implementation plans.  Prepares and obtains
approval of system and programming documentation.  
• Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards.  
• Leads all Remedy related projects.
• Identifies and configures licenses for end users.
• Trains users on use of system.

2. Problem Tracking and Reporting
• Recommends strategies and enhancements to increase employee productivity.  
• Provides daily, weekly and monthly metrics reporting.
• Provides on demand analysis and reporting.

3. Miscellaneous Application Development and Administration
• Support systems and applications as required.

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS: 

This is a support role that requires communication with the following people
for the following reasons:
Upper management – Reporting
Peers –System support, training, team building
Subordinates (direct and indirect reports) – None
Other groups and/or departments - Gathering or passing information,
coordinating efforts, training
Vendors – Directing, assisting, coordinating and providing feedback

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

1. Knowledge, skills & abilities:
• Required: In depth knowledge of Remedy ARS (6.x -7.x) platform
• Required: Knowledge of Installation and Configuration of Remedy ARS
Application Server
• Required: Experience creating and disseminating Crystal reports
• Required: experience using a call tracking system
• Required: strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Required: experience conducting effective training

2.  Minimum certifications/educational level:
• Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Required: Remedy Administration, Remedy Advanced Topics and Remedy Asset
Management Training

3.  Minimum experience:
• Required: 3 years experience with Remedy ARS Development and Administration
• Required: 5 years experience general Development and Administration
• Required: 1 year experience in Help Desk environment or equivalent
• Required: experience managing projects

4.  Physical Requirements:
• This position requires repetitive use of the hands to finger, handle or
feel; reaching with hands and arms; standing, and sitting for extended
periods of time.  Employee is prohibited from lifting in excess of 50 pounds
without additional employee assistance, or without the use of specialty
equipment designed to lift heavy weight.
• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision,
color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Travel is rare and is mainly limited to traveling to local training
facilities by car.  On very rare occasions this person may need to fly to
another state for business reasons.
