Craig,

That's interesting that the AS version is faster. According to their
web site the ISAPI version is the "high-performance" product and the AS
version has the "greatest architectural flexibility"
http://www.newatlanta.com/products/servletexec/product_info/configuratio
ns.jsp. I think I will try it on my dev server.

Windows Server 2003
IIS
ARS 6.3, 7.01

Don't bother creating a separate website--it won't help. I tried all of
that before finally figuring out what the problem is.

The AS version was actually recommended by Remedy Support and they
stated it was faster than the ISAPI version based on their testing.
We've been using it for almost a year now and have found it to be at
least as fast. It's actually nicer than the ISAPI version because it
runs as a Windows service and can be restarted whenever you want (unlike
the ISAPI version). Since it runs as a service, it doesn't have the
conflict with Reporting Services like the ISAPI version.

Go to the New Atlanta web site and click on the download page. Once
there, you'll see an option to download either the Windows ISAPI version
or the Windows AS version.

Once downloaded, you'll want to uninstall the ISAPI version from the
server and install this one. Your existing license will work with the
AS version.

Once installed, open the ServletExec manager from the start menu and add
the Remedy information. My recommendation is you open the ISAPI version
you currently have installed and print out the configuration information
the Remedy installer built for you. After you uninstall the ISAPI
version and install the AS version, you simply open the ServletExec
manager and enter the same information manually.

Since you are installing ServletExec AS manually, you want to bypass the
servlet installation in the midtier install. You do this by clicking
the other checkbox on the servlet page in the wizard.

This sounds like a lot but it's really pretty easy. Uninstall
everything, install ServletExec AS, install Remedy midtier with no
servlet install, open ServletExec and add the configuration information.
Everything should now work including reporting services.

Craing,
I installed ServletExec v.5 which comes with Midtier 6.3 patch18
installation. It is definitely ISAPI filter on default www level, which
is preventing RS from working.
I'm not sure what you mean by AS version, not ISAPI and which website I
could downloaded from. Could you please, explain?
I wanted to create second website on the box and try to work RS of it.
But if there is any other than this solution, I would definitely try.
Thanks,
Urszula
