in CMDB2.0_ConceptsBestPracticesGuide.pdf (June 2006 Part No: 61333)
The Common Data Model on page 61:

"...For specific information about what happens to CDM
1.1 classes when you upgrade to version 2.0, see Appendix A of the
Installation and Configuration Guide."

This (Appendix A) does not exist in my
CMDB2.0_InstallationConfigurationGuide.pdf (June 2006 Part No: 61334)
We do not have (Money) Support (just Expired).
Anobody so kind to share what it tells?

Are there the same three types (regular, abstract and categorization) of
classes in CMDB 1.1?
If yes, is it possible to change its type or copy to new and keep
attributes/data (in CMDB 1.1 or 2)?

It tells me they are:

on page 8 in CMDB2.0_ReleaseNotes.pdf (June 2006 Part No: 61338):

"...Expanded subclass types available for categorization classes
In prior versions of the BMC Atrium CMDB, a categorization class could
have only other categorization subclasses. In this version, the restriction
is
eliminated so that categorization classes can have subclasses of any data
storage method."
