Yup yup yup. Our development instance is VMWare. Make sure you're logging in as a local account (not a domain one) and if you're using Remote Desktop, launch it like "mstsc /console"
Also, copy all the install sources to the local drive... you may want to set your %TEMP% to something like C:\TEMP as some installers have issues with long paths (like c:\documents and settings...\) Did you get that annoying C++ popup as well? I did the install in the following order: ARS+Clients Approval Assignment Backup CMDB2 Backup Asset/NoDSL Backup Incident/NoDSL Backup Problem/NoDSL Backup Change/NoDSL Backup SLM Backup Import DSL whew. But I think I may throw all that away and start fresh, now that 7.0.1 of everything is out. I am having issues getting the ITSM7 patches to apply correctly... and this install has been going on for about a month now. -- Tony Worthington [EMAIL PROTECTED] 262-703-5911 Mario Roehr <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent by: "Action Request System discussion list(ARSList)" <[email protected]> 11/05/2006 02:14 PM Please respond to [email protected] To [email protected] cc Subject ITSM 7 - Installation Issue Hi listers, does any of you ahve experience with installing ITSM 7 on VMware? We're tryingto install ITSM 7 Incident Management on a VMWare with 1,5 GB RAM. During the installation, we get the following error twice: 'Driver command completed with error'. After completing the installation all links are available in the Application Administration Console but none of them is working. If we install Incident Management additional to existing Change Management it works as it should. Checking the log files it seems that none of the forms regarding to 'SYS:Request Types' have been installed or imported. Maybe a wrong order during the installation? Which installation order is required to make the Incident Management working? Thanks for your answers.
