Axton and Rick,

I was trying to save on workflow maintenance. 
Yes, I could change the first two characters. That is what the RP does
when you specify a prefix. In my case the first characters are always AG
(Auto-generated?, Auto_GUID?).
I just thought there was a way to let the application handle it like a
Request_ID. 
Anyone think this is a good Request for Enhancement?

You could add a filter to the field to prepend whatever chars you like.
Not sure if the prefix passed in the RP prepends the valie or replaces
the first two chars.  A quick test would tell.
