** Okay, I should have seen the answer in the arerror.log, but I didn't look closely enough.

Doubling the Oracle tablespace for the arsystem db instance did the trick. The original 300MB was  used at 97%!!

I have finally completed a successful load of ARS and ITSM on a system set up as follows:

ARS 6.3, ITSM 6.0 on Windows Server 2003
Database Oracle 10i on Solaris 10

Initially, I was able to connect without incident to arserver with the Windows User Tool, but the Admin tool took a long time to hook up. Today, I connected with the WUT once and everything ran quickly and well. However the admin tool takes about ten minutes to connect and runs very slowly--about ten minutes to open HPD:HelpDesk and so far about twenty minutes of saving a minor modification.

Now the WUT won't connect after 57 minutes of trying. Of course, the server is still trying to save the Help Desk form, but still....

There is no time-out and there are no error messages. The networking guys say it must be the client tools.

I ran arreload--no positive results. I added a temporary admin user with arcache--also no good.

Any ideas on what is going on? I loaded the system in this order:

Server

Email Engine

Help Desk

CMDB Object Store

CMDB Reconciliation Engine

Approval Server

Asset Management

Change Management

The only problem I saw while loading the ITSM was, Change management got an error: "Driver command completed with error," but when I clicked "Okay" everything continued normally.

I really don't want to have to clean the server off and load it all up again, but that's about what I'm ready to do.
