If I
were you, I would still apply to those jobs but make clear exactly what your
qualifications are. I've seen some jobs in Atlanta recently, and if you
apply to them, being local will be in your favor. Also, I've seen
positions that ask for senior level Remedy consultants filled with people who
have less experience simply because no senior level people apply to them.
Many hiring managers view it as more important to get someone there who can do
maybe 75% of the job than to waste months getting nothing done in the hopes that
the person who can do 100% comes around. Plus, any decent manager knows
that you can gain more experience on the job and grow into the role if you're
able to learn and adapt quickly.
