Well, I do not use macros anymore and ma not quite clear on how you are
running a macro that prompts for a parameter and the firs an active link.
You may want to consider converting your code to run an active link that
does an Open Window action, popping a dialog box that asks for a parameter
value. Then capture that parameter and do another Open window action that
pushes the parameter to your dialog.

Let me know if you need more details on how to accomplish this.
