I'm setting up a new ARServer (app-tier) and working through the issues that were caused by the tight security restrictions here causing 'interesting things to happen' to the installer. At present I'm trying to deal with the arsvcdsp process dying immediate with an ARAPPNOTE 4501 message. The Dispatcher is obviously trying to log in with the AR Server and can't. I'm looking for ideas to beat this one. Anyone got one?
Things I've tried or noticed: 1: I know how to reset passwords for the flashboards and email engines after an install, but the ar.cfg file doesn't even have a Remedy-App-Service-Password keypair in it, so I'm doubtful I know what to reset them to be or if they even matter at this point. 2: The Server Config form that reads ar.cfg into the user tool doesn't work at this point. Every tab errors out as it tries to read data. That means I can't set Remedy-App-Service-Password the standard way. Is there another way? 3: I see a plugin server listening on the port I assigned and don't see any odd errors in those particular log files. After the dispatcher dies, though, the assignment engine dies.
