Hi, Joanne:

I would expect there to be changes.

ITSM 8.1.02 was just a Service Pack, but came with significant changes and many
undocumented features. ;) Much to our surprise, one of the undocumented
features was a change in field Ids for existing fields between ITSM 8.1.00 and
ITSM 8.1.02 (aka SP2) .

The impact of this was felt especially by the reporting team. This was
apparent on all of the main forms like Change, HPD:Help Desk, Work Order, etc….
Shown below are the field Id discrepancies for the Work Order form when we
upgraded from 8.1.00 to 8.1.02.

There are minor changes to existing schemas. If you pick up our Free 7.6.04
and 8.1 forms and fields spreadsheets<http://softwaretoolhouse.com/freebies>,
you can easily do “diff”s.

Hi, Joanne:

Does your transition include ITSM 8.1.02? Or, is this just AR System?

All,
Our organization is transitioning from V7.6.4 to V8.1 and I am responsible for
a number of reports. I have been assured by the team that there are no changes
to the underlying database, but have not been given access to test this out.
Does anyone know if there are changes to field names, tables or relationships
between tables? I hate to find out on the fly.
Thanks
Joanne
