-1 represents unassigned pool. If the user is not belonging to any reserved 
pool group, its group id will be -1 in this form.

Well, I've never seen that, but...from a permission perspective a negative 
group ID is historically a 'Role' instead...I don't know if that's the case 
here....but are there any roles with a role id of -1?

floating licenses distributed with License Pools and users are usually been 
listed with License Pool Group IDs.  Can any one please explain me why there
