Which system did you update the tnsnames.ora file on? Was it on your ARS
server or the Oracle database server?

Subject: tnsnames.ora change not recognized

**
Hi All

On my dev environment, we moved an external oracle (non-Remedy) database to
another subnet and then updated tnsnames.ora file with a new alias in the
oracle client. As far as I know, that is all we needed to do but when I run a
query using the alias I get ORA-02019: connection description for remote
database not found. Is there something I am missing?

ARS 7.6.04
Oracle 11.2

Thanks
Mark
